Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940, 7940G, 7960, and 7960G running SCCP firmware allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (reboot) via a long ICMP echo request (ping) packet.
The product receives input or data, but it does not validate or incorrectly validates that the input has the properties that are required to process the data safely and correctly.
