Zoho ManageEngine Applications Manager 12 through 14 allows FaultTemplateOptions.jsp resourceid SQL injection. Subsequently, an unauthenticated user can gain the authority of SYSTEM on the server by uploading a malicious file via the "Execute Program Action(s)" feature.
The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
