pfSense through 2.3.4 through 2.4.4-p3 allows Remote Code Injection via a methodCall XML document with a pfsense.exec_php call containing shell metacharacters in a parameter value.
The product constructs all or part of an OS command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended OS command when it is sent to a downstream component.
