Race in image burner in Google Chrome on ChromeOS prior to 87.0.4280.66 allowed a remote attacker who had compromised the browser process to perform OS-level privilege escalation via a malicious file.
The product contains a concurrent code sequence that requires temporary, exclusive access to a shared resource, but a timing window exists in which the shared resource can be modified by another code sequence operating concurrently.
