Arbitrary Process Execution vulnerability in McAfee Total Protection (MTP) prior to 16.0.30 allows a local user to gain elevated privileges and execute arbitrary code bypassing MTP self-defense.
The product does not properly assign, modify, track, or check privileges for an actor, creating an unintended sphere of control for that actor.
The product specifies permissions for a security-critical resource in a way that allows that resource to be read or modified by unintended actors.
