An issue was discovered in Envoy 1.14.0. There is a remotely exploitable crash for HTTP2 Metadata, because an empty METADATA map triggers a Reachable Assertion.
The product contains an assert() or similar statement that can be triggered by an attacker, which leads to an application exit or other behavior that is more severe than necessary.
