A Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) issue in the chat component of Etherpad 1.8.13 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary JavaScript or HTML by importing a crafted pad.
The product does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes user-controllable input before it is placed in output that is used as a web page that is served to other users.
