CMS Made Simple <=2.2.15 is affected by SQL injection in modules/News/function.admin_articlestab.php. The $sortby variable is concatenated with $query1, but it is possible to inject arbitrary SQL language without using the '.
The product constructs all or part of an SQL command using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the intended SQL command when it is sent to a downstream component. Without sufficient removal or quoting of SQL syntax in user-controllable inputs, the generated SQL query can cause those inputs to be interpreted as SQL instead of ordinary user data.
