Uncontrolled search path element vulnerability in Samsung Update prior to version 3.0.77.0 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code as Samsung Update permission.
The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory.
The product uses a fixed or controlled search path to find resources, but one or more locations in that path can be under the control of unintended actors.
