A memory corruption issue was addressed with improved validation. This issue is fixed in macOS Monterey 12.5. Processing a maliciously crafted tiff file may lead to arbitrary code execution.
The product writes data past the end, or before the beginning, of the intended buffer.
The product constructs all or part of a code segment using externally-influenced input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special elements that could modify the syntax or behavior of the intended code segment.
