A use-after-free flaw was found in io_uring/filetable.c in io_install_fixed_file in the io_uring subcomponent in the Linux Kernel during call cleanup. This flaw may lead to a denial of service.
The product subtracts one value from another, such that the result is less than the minimum allowable integer value, which produces a value that is not equal to the correct result.
The product reuses or references memory after it has been freed. At some point afterward, the memory may be allocated again and saved in another pointer, while the original pointer references a location somewhere within the new allocation. Any operations using the original pointer are no longer valid because the memory "belongs" to the code that operates on the new pointer.
