Potential buffer overflow vulnerability in auth api in mm_Authentication.c in Shannon baseband prior to SMR May-2023 Release 1 allows remote attackers to cause invalid memory access.
The product receives input or data, but it does not validate or incorrectly validates that the input has the properties that are required to process the data safely and correctly.
The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow.
