A buffer overflow in Counter-Strike through 8684 allows a game server to execute arbitrary code on a remote client's machine by modifying the lservercfgfile console variable.
The product copies an input buffer to an output buffer without verifying that the size of the input buffer is less than the size of the output buffer, leading to a buffer overflow.
